"I think a lot of people think you're just supposed to have this natural instinct that's supposed to happen out of thin air. There's a technique to learn and if you don't know it, it's not your fault."

- Alicia Keys

Office Visits

Our office is located at 800 Columbiana Dr, Suite 116, Irmo, SC 29063

We are located on the side of the Muv Fitness building, facing the back of Stars and Strikes; we have a business listing on Google Maps and Apple Maps that should bring you right to our front door.

Our self pay visit fee is $195, payable at the time of service if we do not have a contract with the payer.

We file contracted claims with Tricare, United Healthcare, Wildflower Health and The Lactation Network.

We accept all major credit/debit cards, including FSA/HSA cards.

We are IN-NETWORK with most UHC plans!

Please double check your specific plan, we should appear in the directory for all employer based plans.
If you have UHC you do not need to fill out the form with TLN.

We are a TRICARE East certified facility

TRICARE Prime and Standard beneficiaries are eligible to receive up to 6 hours of office based care with no out of pocket cost. Referrals are not required.
If you are a Tricare beneficiary you do not need to fill out the form with TLN.

We partner with Wildflower Health to provide in-network services to Cigna Members

Wildflower Health is a healthcare technology company focused on improving outcomes in women's healthcare, specifically during pregnancy and postpartum. Cigna has chosen them to act as an intermediary to simplify their billing process. To initiate the process, fill out the form with Wildflower here. There is no limit to the number of visits Cigna members may receive.

Cigna will cover visits under the parent or the baby; if the lactating parent is not on a plan that covers lactation, but the baby is on a Cigna plan, your family can still receive covered visits through Wildflower.

We partner with the Lactation Network for many other plans

The Lactation Network is an insurance billing company specifically for lactation consultants. Anthem, Aetna, BCBS, VACCN, Multi-Plan, and other PPO plans may be covered through TLN.

Approved families have no out of pocket cost for office visits. If you are not covered by one of the carriers we already contract with, we encourage you to check for coverage by filling out their form here when you request your appointment.

TLN will start by verifying the lactating parent's insurance; if their plan does not participate with TLN they can also check the baby's plan, if it is different. Families may still be approved by TLN under just the baby's plan.

Reimbursement

Unfortunately not all plans participate with TLN; and sometimes we do not have a way to access insurance covered care for you.

Lactation support supplies and services are required to be covered by ACA compliant insurance plans. But there are still many "grandfathered" plans that are not required to cover lactation, PEBA being the largest. We are happy to help you and share whatever information we may have that may help you with reimbursement. Advocating for better policies and coverage compliance is something we are actively involved in.

We are now able to file claims on your behalf to all major carriers, regardless of our network status. It is our hope that this eliminates one step for you and increases your odds of reimbursement.
