Releasing a Tongue Tied Big Kid – Day 8-11

February 3, 2016 Kristyn

There hasn’t been much really exciting going on lately, so I saved up a few days worth of pictures to show how he’s healing. I’m really glad I have these for documentation, I think they’ll be really useful for years to come in my practice and I highly recommend taking pictures of your child’s revision site for your own reassurance. There’s been very little involution during the night or day, so while I’ve been taking pre and post stretch pictures, there’s not enough difference to warrant posting them all. We aren’t waking him at night and we aren’t really going by a schedule during the day either he’s just been doing sweeps when he thinks of it. Which was 3 times in 2 hours on Sunday. So it works.

Sunday was day 9, and as usual for us we were running late to church, so no morning pictures. And then yesterday, day 10, he went to bed while I was still putting the baby to bed, so no evening pictures. You can see by the end of today, day 11, the white is almost completely gone, but you can still see the outline of the diamond.

Today we went back to our chiropractor, Dr. Mike, and he said he had a lot of tension in his neck for someone his age, but he also adjusted really well. I think it’s all part of things shifting around in his mouth/head/neck, and I was glad to hear he adjusted well. Tomorrow we meet with another bodyworker, a local rolfer, to see if she thinks that would help him with the floor of his mouth. I’m really excited about that meeting and I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow!
